I am a qualified dental hygienist and dental therapist having gained a Diploma in 2006 from the Eastman Dental hospital. I have been in the dental sector since 1979 having worked at a number of different dental practices in North London. I joined the Dental Design Studio over 10 years ago and have been an established member of the team here since then. I currently divide my time between the practice in Northwood and Maida Vale.

Over the years, I have gained a number of other qualifications within the dental and other related fields, some of which are listed below:

• Teeth Whitening 2008

• Forensic Odontology (University of Hertfordshire)

• Diploma in Forensic Medical Science

• Forensic Human Identification (Metropolitan Police Crime Academy in Hendon)

• Competencies in Training and Development (Skills Assessor Award D32 and D33)

• Certificate in Education (University of Westminster)

Other achievements include:

• Teaching the entire dental nursing syllabus at Primary Care Centre in Hitchin and at Stanmore College

• Lecturing in Forensic Odontology

• Being given a special award by GDC – Professional Award 2006

• Writing articles for the dental journals/magazines on various topics

• Working with “Bridge to Aid” charity in Africa to help underprivileged children (2000)

• Working with (Kindernothilfe - Churches Council for Child and Youth Care) charity in India for 4 years as a volunteer where the objective was to provide basic dental treatment for street and orphaned children in remote rural regions and to guide the children towards good oral healthcare.

• Member of DVI (disaster victim identification)

In my spare time, I like to be active with a local Gym membership, weekly Yoga, long walks and jogging. I have done Swimathons in the past. I also attend Hindustani vocal classes at the Bhavan and belong to two singing groups. I enjoy travelling and reading as well.
