A little bit about us in Northwood…

Our dental practice in Northwood was the first of our Dental Design Studio family opening in 2005. 

                             

We are located just off a local bus route and a very short walk away from Northwood tube station. There is parking available near to the Practice and we are close to the towns carparks. 

 

Our practice has grown through patient recommendation and the majority of our new patients come to us because our care has been recommended to them by friends and family.

 

We have an exceptional team of dedicated professionals offering general dentistry and more specialist service, such as implants, Orthodontic treatments (including Invisalign).

 

Our Practice is fully modernised with digital software and X-rays and we boast a generously large converted entrance to allow for disabled access and have a hearing loop available upon request. 

 

We offer Fully Private and NHS services. Whether you are looking for an Emergency Appointment, General Check-up, Hygienist Cleaning, White Fillings, Zoom Whitening, Braces or Dental Implants we can help you! We can also offer you the option to spread the cost of your dental treatment with interest free finance.

 

Our practice is accepting new adult patients onto our Private scheme and our NHS list is open for children.

 

Our team of dedicated staff (and you can read all about us below) speak languages in English , Polish , Romanian , Hindi, Russian, Hungarian  and Portuguese and we are very proud to have been shortlisted in several prestigious dental awards

Meet Our Team

Dr Paras

Dr Paras Malde is a bubbly all-rounder experienced dentist who you’ll love to be treated by. You can be sure to see him going the extra mile, giving high attention to detail with his kind caring approach. He takes pride in ensuring his patients understand and feel involved in every step of their treatment journey. Dr Paras is particularly known for his natural ability in clicking with all generation of patients.

He qualified from Kings College London in 2014 and has furthered his skills completing a Restorative programme with Prof. Paul Tipton and a Prosthodontic Diploma mentored by the multi-specialist Dr Kushal Gadhia. He is currently undergoing an Implant Diploma.

Dr Paras is known for providing high quality Cosmetic and Restorative dentistry to his patients particularly with orthodontic straightening (Invisalign), composite bonding fillings, whitening, crowns and bridges. He has an eye for smiles, able to provide a solution to achieve the best natural long-lasting smile possible for his patients.

Outside of Dentistry, he is a well-known professional singer and drummer. He is regularly involved in charity work and playing Squash.

Dr. Saba Qureshi
I completed my undergraduate dental training from St. Bartholomew’s and the prestigious Royal London Hospital.

I obtained my Master's Degree and specialist orthodontic qualifications from the world famous Guy’s Hospital, London.

I constantly work to keep abreast of new developments in order to provide the very best level of care for my patients.

I have the skills to cater for all age groups and provide a range of differing orthodontic treatment options. These include traditional fixed braces, both metal and ceramic, removable braces and functional appliances, and lingual braces.

Dr. Rovina

Since I qualified in 2007, I have spent a year in hospital service and also worked in a mixed NHS and private practice in Luton/Harpenden. I have updated my clinical skill by attending courses, and can provide Invisalign. My most recent qualification is a MSc in Oral Surgery.

Although the thought of having oral surgery can be a little worrying, I endeavor to put my patients at ease and ensure their experience is as stress-free as possible. I also clearly explain surgical procedures and do so in a way that will not overly concern my patients.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends on my days off. I am a keen cyclist, swimmer and enjoy outdoor activities including hiking. Recently I completed a 60Km cycle for the British Heart Foundation.

I graduated from Manchester University in 2000, gained my membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2003 and a Masters in Restorative Dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute in 2012. I have enjoyed hospital posts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and general dental practice, providing restorative and cosmetic dentistry, surgical procedures and routine implants. I regularly attend postgraduate courses and endeavour to keep patients well informed, whilst maintaining high surgical standards and provide a relaxing and safe clinical environment. I am experienced in working with patients who may suffer with anxiety.

In my spare time I appreciate tropical aquascaping, forest walks and gardening. Fitness includes martial arts and running, I recently completed a 10k run for the British Heart Foundation. Weekends are spent with family and will inevitably involve a combination of Lego, Marvel and Dwarf Hamsters.

Dr Razia - Dentist

Razia graduated with Honours from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2012 and was nominated for the prestigious University of London Gold Medal Award. Following this she completed her MJDF examinations and underwent a further training year at Guy’s Hospital in Restorative Dentistry, Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine. She has since gained a wealth of experience working in several practices as well the hospital environment.

Razia prides herself on attention to detail and providing high quality treatment in a gentle and caring manner. She has a strong belief in preventative and minimally invasive dentistry and can also provide InvisalignⓇ.

Outside of work, Razia enjoys spending time raising her two young children, travelling and a game of badminton. In her spare time, she is passionate about charity work and has gone on several dental charity missions abroad. 

Dr Krishani

Dr Krishani Kalyan
Dr Krishani has been qualified for over 10 years, a skilled and talented dentist who strives to deliver her utmost dental experience to the patients she treats. 

She was awarded the diploma of membership of the faculty of dental surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCSEd) and also has gained a Certificate in Operative Dentistry. 

Krishani is always undergoing postgraduate courses on a regular basis in order to develop and build on her knowledge and expertise.
She is a general dentist with special interests in short term orthodontics, Endodontics and Restorative treatments, she especially enjoys helping patients to feel more confident about their smile.

Aside from her busy schedule in dentistry and spending time with her young family, she enjoys travelling and swimming.

Taimoor

Dr Krishani Kalyan

Graduating as a dentist in 2003, Taimoor has been practicing in London as a dentist with a special interest in aesthetic and implant dentistry since 2006. In 2010, he joined the Kings’ College London MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry programme as a postgraduate student. He graduated with Distinction in December 2012.


Taimoor has been a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) since 2008. He became a registered speaker for them in 2014, and a Fellow in 2017.


Taimoor has over 14 years of experience in implant dentistry. He has a keen interest in computer-assisted implant surgery and has been utilising the digital workflow in routine dental practice since 2013. He lectures on various topics relating to implant dentistry with a special focus on digital dentistry both nationally and internationally.

Hasmita (Sue)

Dental Hygienist 

I am a qualified dental hygienist and dental therapist having gained a Diploma in 2006 from the Eastman Dental hospital. I have been in the dental sector since 1979 having worked at a number of different dental practices in North London. I joined the Dental Design Studio over 10 years ago and have been an established member of the team here since then. I currently divide my time between the practice in Northwood and Maida Vale.

Over the years, I have gained a number of other qualifications within the dental and other related fields, some of which are listed below:

• Teeth Whitening 2008
• Forensic Odontology (University of Hertfordshire)
• Diploma in Forensic Medical Science 
• Forensic Human Identification (Metropolitan Police Crime Academy in Hendon)
• Competencies in Training and Development (Skills Assessor Award D32 and D33)
• Certificate in Education (University of Westminster)

Other achievements include:

• Teaching the entire dental nursing syllabus at Primary Care Centre in Hitchin and at Stanmore College
• Lecturing in Forensic Odontology
• Being given a special award by GDC – Professional Award 2006
• Writing articles for the dental journals/magazines on various topics
• Working with “Bridge to Aid” charity in Africa to help underprivileged children (2000)
• Working with (Kindernothilfe - Churches Council for Child and Youth Care) charity in India for 4 years as a volunteer where the objective was to provide basic dental treatment for street and orphaned children in remote rural regions and to guide the children towards good oral healthcare.
• Member of DVI (disaster victim identification)

In my spare time, I like to be active with a local Gym membership, weekly Yoga, long walks and jogging. I have done Swimathons in the past. I also attend Hindustani vocal classes at the Bhavan and belong to two singing groups. I enjoy travelling and reading as well.

Alina

Head Dental Nurse

I joined The Dental Design Studio in 2017 and qualified a year later, having done my training here. Becoming a Dental Nurse was the best decision I ever made.

I love my job, it’s never predictable and no day is ever the same. I get great satisfaction playing a part in helping a patient overcome their fear of the dentist.

I try my best to put my patients at ease and I aim to treat my patients the same way I would want one of my family members to be.

I enjoy spending time with my little girl, my family and my crazy dog Max.
